
Ivy’s Flavours started in 2015 when she took to the whisk to create a two tier white chocolate and raspberry ‘naked cake’ for her Niece’s 1st birthday. Since then, Ivy’s Flavours turned into a passion for baking gluten free celebration cakes that everyone can enjoy.
Ivy Healy started her gluten free cooking journey when she was 7. After being diagnosed with Coeliac disease at age 3, Ivy struggled to adapt to her new lifestyle and diet, making it hard to fit in with friends and family at the dinner table. Having had enough, and after encouragement from her dietitian, and close family, Ivy began to create her own delicious gluten free treats in which she strived for pleasing texture and depth of flavour.
Ever since learning how to bake from her mother and nan, Ivy has been experimenting, researching and learning how to captivate those in the gluten free community. Having completed her certificate in food handling, and gaining culinary experience in multiple workplaces, Ivy started up Ivy’s Flavours to provide customers with beautiful gluten free cakes which she knows everyone will enjoy.
Since graduating as a registered nurse in 2020 and being thrusted into a global pandemic, Ivy’s focus and passions shifted into helping others in our struggling healthcare system. After spending over 5 years creating cakes for all occasions, creating wedding cakes became a true passion that Ivy felt pull to explore. In 2021/2022 enduring multiple lockdowns and event cancellations, Ivy spent time planning, remodelling and rebranding Ivy’s Flavours into a boutique gluten free wedding cake business in which she feels truly captures the identity of the business in the Melbourne cake scene.
